David and Marghanita Hughes ran their design company in Scotland for over 10 years before starting up their own Media company 3 years ago. They won Best Creative Business 2004 and have their first animated TV series in production. Their work then took them half way around the world to Kelowna, British Columbia.As parents of 3 children and creators for TV content for young children we felt compelled to develop a project that would encourage children to get outdoors and take notice of what is happening to the wildlife, forests and our valuable green spaces.Our children played amongst these amazing creatures and seemed part of the natural setting, at one with their environment. Inspired by our own children and their love for nature and imaginative play, the Little Humbugs slowly evolved in our minds. The butterflies and dragonflies slowly morphed into childlike characters and provided inspiration to create books and dolls to tell environmentally conscious nature stories.
